There is a large tree blocking the entire river right arch (that's RHS going downstream) of the bridge below the Easby Abbey section of the Swale below Richmond. It forms a complete barrier to this part of the river at low water levels; and whilst at medium or high water it may be passable in a boat (assuming it stays at the same level and doesn't ride up with the flow) it would certainly form a nasty strainer for swimmers....
