I have just added a load of books to the books section. Plenty of sea stuff.
That's all.

Thankyou, this is a lovely addition to the Guide site. Very interesting and useful, and beautifully laid out.
Can I suggest an addition to 'Sea Kayaking'? :
'Sea Kayaking Illustrated: A visual Guide to better Paddling' by John Robinson, McGraw Hill 2003
It's American, but you can find it on Amazon.co.uk and usefully, they have listed it with the facility to check inside some of the main pages of the book. I think it's a brilliant all-rounder for learners and medium experienced, and it would probably make a good coaches' recommendation.
As it says on the back cover, "Are you a visual learner? Short on time? Do you like a little entertainment with your instruction? Then Sea Kayaking Illustrated is for you. It combines concise, easy-to-understand instruction with lively, information packed, often hilarious illustrations to show you how to improve your kayaking skills".
When reviewing it in Paddler, Frederick Reimers said "While chock-full of dead-on sea kayaking instruction, it's the fun and easy-to-digest format that sets this book apart. Reading it is a pleasure".
Chapters as follows:
Kayaks and Kayakers
Gear
Carrying Kayaks
Concepts of Paddling
Boat Obedience
Rescues
Navigation
Wind and Waves
Kayak Surfing
Reefs and Rocks
Tides and Currents
River Touring
Pee Kayaking
Kayak Camping
Special Topics (meaning, things kayakers need to avoid, i.e: "critters, lightning, icebergs and hypothermia")

Yeah, I'm familiar with that book - but don't own it yet.
Only post up books I own already.
Books page has been there for over five years, just something I put together to assemble useful titles.
