Circumnavigation Scotland

Postby jonnyhawkins1 » Fri May 25, 2012 7:54 am

We set off today to paddle round the coast of mainland Scotland. The first leg leaves St Andrews, travels down to Edinburgh then across the Forth and Clyde canal to Glasgow where the fun really begins.

Here is the website for a bit more info

Thanks andyE.

The trip is going really well and we made it too Oban for a restock and rest today. Off tomorrow on the second leg up to Ullapool. We have met loads of kind people, helping us in anyway they can and seen some amazing scenery and wildlife. Just hope this amazing weather stays for all the sea kayakers out there!

We were lucky enough to meet the home sea home team during our leg from Mallaig to Ullapool. The trip is going extremely well and Bruce and I are enjoying an incredible introduction to sea kayaking on the west coast meeting lots of very generous people. Off to the Alps now for our whitewater fix before continuing the trip in a few weeks.

After a srint finish down the East coast I have made it back to St Andrews thus compleating my trip. Thanks to all the support from the people of Scotland to make this adventure extremely fun. Below are a few photos from the trip!
