Anglesey Tidal Races & Overfalls - Penrhyn Mawr

Jimski89 already made an excellent overview from the symposium:

I mixed a video from a different perspective, namely the Venezuelan / Norwegian headcam perspective. Paddlers from eight different nationalities get wet in Penrhyn Mawr (and one from the Netherlands got very wet).

The parts with a green kayak are filmed in strong current, but low waves - surfable with a strong effort. The shots with yellow or blue kayak are from Saturday: Low current, but low swell with just the right period for easy surfing. From Sunday we have no video, but pictures in gale wind against the slow tidal current.
Kayaks were mostly NDK as usual, but Joe and Harry paddled the faster Rockpool Taran.

I enjoyed that more because of Vimeo. It takes a while to down load, well worth the wait.

Thank you both. Perhaps vimeo is better, although frankly I´m not able to see the difference myself. However, with vimeo you can download the files for personal use. I sometimes do that with those incredibly impressive river-kayak-movies. And I cut them down to be able to study the gist of the acrobatic parts frame by frame without the interviews. So how is a kick-flip on a massive wave initiated? The edits reveals it to be nothing but pure magic and years of training.
