Me and a couple of mates are heading to Croatia to do some sea kayaking and touristy stuff in June, wondering if anyone has been out there and could give us any advice on how easy it is to hire boats/equipment ect. Any help would be great.

Happy paddling

I went 2 times to Dugi Otok. Great place to paddle. We drove over there taking boats & stuff with us. We rented an apartment in Sali and did some day trips around the island (including Kornati Park).
To rent equipment, you might try http://www.seakayak.hr . I saw one of their cars once but that's about it as far as "experience" goes with them. The rocks are razor sharp so take care when launching & landing.

Hi Mark,
If you do a search on this forum, you should get a good few tips. I went on a trip with Adria Adventure in Dubrovnik around the elifites (sp?) island in 2010. They were very good. They have a range of options from the all inclusive to the self-guided.
I'd recomend them.
Cheers

I'm going, with a couple of friends, at the end of June, flying to Dubrovnik and renting kayaks from Adriatic Kayak Tours.
They offer various guided trips but just we're hiring kayaks from them and booking accommodation on a couple of the Elafiti islands. I was there in 2007 on a trip organised by Glenmore Lodge - they used the same company.

I don't have a clue about renting equipment, but if you need any kayaking advice for Croatia, I am happy to help. I've paddled a few thousand miles in the Adriatic.
