Just a little update, the person rescued was on a sit on top. Strong offshore winds with very powerful gusts. Sea flat in the lee of the promenade but very rough out of the lee.
Person separated from craft, craft blown out to sea and recovered by a couple of jet skiers. Very prompt response by Port Talbot RNLI D class, right in front of their station. Thank God he was wearing a buoyancy aid.Distress phoned in by person who used to be a lifeguard out walking his dog.
Casualty seemed to have swallowed a bit of water and rather cold. In good hands when rescued and first responder para medic in attendance at station
No harm done but was wrong time to be out on a sit on top given the prevailing conditions.
