Loading kayaks on T5's

Postby outdoorbloke » Thu Apr 19, 2012 12:00 pm

Hi folks,
we have just bought ourselves a T5 Shuttle SWB and apart from the roof rack, was wondering if anyone had any good ideas
on how to get the kayaks onto the roof easier. Was going to buy a cradle type set up but don't want to damage the bus trying to get it on (or put my back out!) so I was wondering if there some sort of way to "slide" the kayaks onto the roof rack from the rear of the bus?
Have googled but am work and restrictions apply!
It will be a Perception scooter double or a Perception Carolina 14 and I wanted the cradle type system as there will probably also be a couple of surfboards on the roof as well.
Thanks in advance for any help,
Den

I have the karitek system on my T4. Makes loading easy and safe!

Cheers folks,
didn't seem to come up on google for me as at work.
With the Karitek system, do you have to buy a Karitek roofrack as well or can you adapt a stanfard T5 roofrack?
(apologies again, have work pc and it doesn't seem to like any searches relating to Karitek and won't be at home PC to search for 3 days)
All the best, Den
