As in Joe Glickman's book about Freya Hoffmeister's paddle around Oz:

I finally found time to read it over the Easter hols. Quite an insight into an incredible person and a remarkable voyage. Interesesting too is the author's impression of the person that Freya is (and not always complimentary).
A great read and difficult top put down.
Who else has read it and what did you think?
This book has now left me wanting to read Paul Caffyn's book of the first 'round Oz' paddle, some 20-odd years earlier.

Re: Fearless
I borrowed a copy of Caffyn's book from a friend afterwards.
I read Fearless, it was interesting... but it wasn't inspiring. It wasn't a book that made me want to paddle around Australia. IT made me want to read a book that made me want to paddle around Australia. It just seemed like "I paddled around a continent and all I brought you back was this lousy gossip rag written by a guy who didn't really like me..."
