Leaky Hatch rims^

Hi,
I've a large Kayjaksprot oval on the back and its letting the rain in.
What should I use to re-proof the boat/rim joint?
It seems solidly attatched, but drips are apparent after a short while...

I suggest you first do a forum search for say 'hatch rims' because this has been discussed quite a few times.

I had a similar problem and used Sikaflex which did the job a treat and was easy to use others say use something stronger but I forget the name of it. You probably need to find where the leak is first. Someone suggested putting water in the hatch and turning the boat upside down. Are you sure the cover is not worn/perished?
