I've just come across this website which appears to give real time & historic data on wave size.

Any one know: is this new? Are there better sites? Any which cover Scotland?

That's the first one I've seen which present the data in that particular way, but there are loads of sites which give you access to wave buoy data, e.g. http://www.a1surf.com/wavebuoy.html
