kayak cod record

just thought I would give it a mention the British kayak cod caught record was smashed last week in sandgate, I paddled out 2miles with pikemandan{dan} 70ft of water dropped the anchor and with in half a hour he had a cod of 29,8 what a fish, all I could hear was dan shouting out where am I going to put it lol . great days hooking ,my turn next .

Well done. The biggest cod I ever caught was off Folkestone peir in 1982.Like yours it was a shade over 29lb.Luckily I had a drop net with me otherwise I dont think I could have hauled it up the harbour wall!!.It had a head on it like a bulldog!!I caught
it on a turkey leg,well you get sick of the stuff after christmas dont you.Wish I had known you were out that day as I only live a few hundred yards from the beach in Hythe.
