Kayak Stolen - Cambridgeshire

Postby Chalky723 » Tue Apr 26, 2011 11:30 am

Hi,

My poor old Magic Bat has been removed from the Huntingdon Canoe Club compound in Hinchinbrooke Park, Cambridgeshire - it's thought that some kids may have climbed the fence & chucked it over. Sods Law as I'd only left it there so I had room on the roof to collect my new one!! My lad was going to have the Bat & is understandably unimpressed!!

If anyone see's it could you either let me know or Cambridgeshire Police – Crime Reference CF 0176320411

I've got more pics & can give some more details if required as this is an old pic & I've tweaked the kayak somewhat since!

Cheers,

Damon

Lo and behold, paddled past some Urk fishing in my kayak today!!

Called the police & it's now back in my hands - one thing I would say helped hugely was having photo's of it on my phone.

When the boat has distinctive markings it makes it easy to prove it's yours. If I hadn't had the photos on me the boat would have been seized until I could prove it was mine.

Happy Days!!

Chalky

PS - having 6 disreputable looking members of the HCC with me helped too!!
