Paddling in Europe in 2-3 weeks

Hello
I am in France (Ardeche) with a kayak and car and finish work for a few weeks after next weekend. I havent sorted any plans yet but might consider trying to paddle after that time even if its just a few days. Would be greatful if anyone has a spare minute and a bit of local knowledge on any possibilities...
What are levels doing anywhere in or around the Alps? Can anyone suggest any good places to get to at that time where I could easily meet up with some folk to paddle with? I would be looking at grade 4ish stuff. I am going to put something on the paddling buddys forum, sorry if this is in the wrong place.
Its all maybes still as Ive been talking to collegues about trips (not paddling) and not sure how much if any time I'll end up having. But would be interested to know what there is.
