Something you put under your deck to push it out, increasing the volume of the bow for looping, and also mitigating some risk of deck implosion.

Techinally it refers to this plastic moulding by IR:

But the concept being so simple, it's become a generic name.

Jackson's Happy Thruster is an inflatable version*; but it's pretty common to use a partially inflated beachball, swiss ball or spacehopper, the latter being the particularly popular due to the massive handle to get it out in an emergency

*(combined with the Happy Seat as per it's design; it becomes and unfortunately named yellow inflatable cock and balls)
