yeah, you can't quite tell in the photo, but there's a nice hole in the iced over drop that was perfectly sized for the nose of the boat.

Bah, The line drag was far superior to the river/ice right line.


After running this section once we did make the brilliant decision to take two duos down the rest of the river.

It did not start off well



Twas quite painful at points.


There was a fair bit of ice walking


And also the famous last words

"I've seen a boat get pinch pinned here before, but that will never happen today."






It was a good day and the Findhorn was equally good/frozen the next day.

Some of us did give it a miss - myself and Steve (+ a couple of others) were the photographers!

Has been a brilliant week up north - the people who headed home early 'because there was no water' were looking in the wrong places. There wasn't a lot, but we still got in 2 sections most days. Awesome fun.

We went and did some ice paddling on the mighty Exe on Wednesday, but top marks for going out for a bit of an adventure!!

Although playboating in the hole at the bottom of trews and going over really wasnt warm...
