Paddled the mighty Yarrow with the club last night for the first time in ages. Theres now a wire strung across the river about 2-300m below the second roadbridge which could pose a hazard at some levels (it was at throat level last night). We tried to get rid of it but alas no luck as its steel cable. Time to get the
hacksaw I guess!

Re: Wire On The Yarrow
Hey dave,
Did the mighty yarrow last week for the first time in 18months. Found the cable, its locked in tight an strung across the river at water level for most of its width (water level was 0.7 on the sepa gauge). Theres a way under it tight right where it lifts upto the tree at that water level anyway.
Will take the cutters next time as its bloody dangerous and cannot see it until your almost upon it.

Had a quick splash down there yesterday - the winter floods have removed it. Hooray!
