They are currently replacing the road bridge to Rhiwfawr in Lower Cwmtwrch, the old one has been removed and works is ongoing for many weeks. It looks as if the works is not affecting passage to date, but it may be prudent to inspect before paddling, especially until the work is complete?? It can be scouted from the river but a portage at this point is difficult with no access river left and a very steep ,overgrown bank river right.

The bridge has now been replaced and the job looks complete. I've noticed some big sections of rock that have broken away and may alter the nature of the pool below. haven't paddled it yet as there's been little water about. Expect that a good flood will clear the rocks in due course.On the plus side the new bridge is full span with no support and the road wide enough to park on the bridge itself for a good look.
