The strange thing about this is the upper stretches which my contain spawning beds, (not that I actually believe kayaks do much hard) paddling is OK all year but in the gorge which is far 2 turbulant for spawning.
I've also been to that area many times (unfortunately only the once to actually paddle the gorge) and never seen a single fisherman, and I've been there at all conditions from far to low to paddle to very high indeed probably to high to paddle.
With the gorge being such a short section that almost all would pre-bank scout so giving plenty of chance to check on fishermen...
