Nidd

I'm just looking at the original guide for EWW and guessing not much needs updating as there's no guide on here and no one ever mentions paddling it? Would be good to know any calibrations for this EA gauge?

Also has anyone paddled it above Gouthwaite reservoir? Looks fairly steep near the source above Lofthouse - anything of interest?
Done any NE/NW rivers not on the site? PM me!

Keep meaning to get down the Nidd Gorge. Have seen it super high when the weir was horrendous, bet there are some good surf waves further down.

Above Lofthouse there is hardly any water in the Nidd as it is all underground; it disappears down Manchester Hole. Above that, it's a bit tight and tree-y and probably not worth it.
