Currently there is plenty of water but also plenty of dead sheep along the route. I have reported these but unfortunately there were 180 sheep washed down the river during the recent floods (biggest in living memory)and not all have been cleared.
Not sure about the tree/wood situation as there were also loads of trees and fences washed into the river so take care.

The water at the Etal wier is covering the beach but not going over the second shute so ok for lower section. Still lots of trees and the footbridge past the old mill 1km downstream of Etal village has come down and is under water so take care. Still a few dead sheep in the trees which I have reported and still lots of trees about.
Should be a good trip on Sun but take care and let us know what else is down there as I have not done the full trip since the floods.
