This section also goes in flood when the volume is breathtaking. Hard to grade; big choppy water, powerful currents, trees floating down but nothing is hard. Main hazards are street furniture, bridges etc but these are also the fun as you eddy out behind buildings, take photos pinned on "no parking" signs, paddle through pedestrian tunnels etc. interest was added by slaloming around trees in the park and river bank. Worth a paddle if you're around in flood, take some cash and you may be able to persuade a local to bring a pint to your kayak, (you can paddle up side streets to get out of the flow). Rich
