Has anyone experienced problems canoeing upstream of Settle, North Yorkshire around the Hellwith Bridge/ Stainforth area. I recall some time ago some canoeists being apprehended by a water balif and the police at Settle and wondered what became of this, if anything. I have limited, 3rd party information on this so any info gratefully received.
