Re: Zambezi River Festival 2011
We're down to a matter of weeks now until the Zambezi Festival 2011, and it's all starting to fall in place! The lovely folk at Pyranha are now kindly sponsoring the event, donating an awesome prize - a brand new Varun for one of you lucky competitors! The T-shirt design is well on it's way, and folks are getting excited about the prospect of getting on one of the best sections of white water in the world!
We've been having a look around for flights for you too, and if you're heading over from the UK, then lastminute.com has some great deals, around about £530, with Ethiopian Airlines who give you 2 bags up to 23kgs, yes that's right, 2 bags! So there's no worries with scrimping on what you can take, you'll be able to take your boat and enough sunscreen to keep the African sun off that pale British skin, I know I'll need it! If you are planning on joining us then get in there now while these deals are still available!
Like we've said many times, accommodation in town is limited, so with beds booking up already, get yours sorted soon before they run out! We also have some kayaks to hire out in Livingstone, but as you can imagine supply just can't meet the demand so if you'd like to hire one, it's first come first served.
Give us a shout if you need any help or advice with getting yourself and your buddies down to the Zam, and we'll look forward to seeing lots of you out there!
Book here! ---> http://www.thezambezi.com, send us an email at kayak@thezambezi.com, give us a call on 01226 740400 (9-6), or use our swanky new 'live chat' facility on the website. That's many, many ways of getting in touch, no excuse now!

Re: Zambezi River Festival 2011
Thinking about getting to Livingstone, there are people traveling up from South Africa, as well as down from Uganda, so if anyone's after a lift then let us know and we can make a plan.
Also, if enough people are arriving into Lusaka then we might be able to work out a car pool to make it much easier than getting the bus!
Hopefully see some of you guys out there!
Cheers
Evie

Anyone heading out for the Zambezi River Festival?
Looking forward to the event now which is only a few weeks away. Let us know if you plan to join us out there, and we'll collect you from the airport (in Livingstone) and help with any logistics you might need help with. Will you be the first winner of the Nyaminyami Cup? Event schedule is listed on http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=182503965118057

Flights are still available for £600 to Lusaka with Kenyan Airlines (Loads of baggage allowance!) through http://www.lastminute.com! It's not too late to come join us!
For those of you who are planning on coming to the festival, we have a LOT of stuff to bring out to Zambia with us, so if you've got any space at all left in your bag then we'd be super grateful if you could take a few bits and bobs out for us, even a couple of T-shirts would be a great help so please do get in touch (01226 740400 or 740444, kayak@thezambei.com or on facebook). We can either send stuff to you, or I'll be at Pyranha Fest next weekend to get stuff you you. Please and Thank you!
Looking forward to seeing some of you guys out there!

REGISTRATION will take place at Jollyboys CAMP between 12 and 4 (before the booze cruise!) on Saturday 22nd October, so come and find us there to sign up if you haven't already and get all the information you need for the week as well as your supercool festival T-shirt!
Payment for your ticket in Livingstone will be by cash only (£ or $ only!), there are no card facilities are... available, so make sure you bring enough with you to avoid issues getting your ticket!
If you find yourself at Jollyboys backpackers rather than the CAMP where we'll be then let the girls at reception know who will let us know and we'll organise to get you to the right place!
See you all there!

Pheeee-Yeeeew! We've just rocked back into the office after a brilliant time out in Zambia. With 20,000 photos to sort through it might take a while to get the best of the best sorted, but check out our facebook page here for some photos and comments after the event.
2012 dates: Sat 27th October to Sat 3rd November. Book them off and be there next year!
