This season's the River’s Source, a white water gathering is 9/11th November, and is an event for all White Water Paddlers.

We have a wide scope of coaching workshops and clinics for Paddlers, Coaches & River Leaders. Numerous drop in sessions for Clubs, Groups & Businesses, with contributions from across the Paddlesports Industry.

The River’s Source is a test event for everything and anything white water, present will be the leading manufactures, suppliers and makers of useful paddling equipment. Plus we offer you the chance to get involved, with some community action, whether that’s with a river clean up, paddling with the youth or engaging with other river users. We’ve invite all the leading providers, industry contributors and experts from far ranging fields. The River’s Source is hosted in Devon, at the prime location of the River Dart Country Park.

The River’s Source is for day visitors and weekenders a like, online booking from early September.

The River's Source now get's it's own FaceBook Page. With so many elements of the event, we felt such a great idea needed room to breath. The River's Source is an open source event, all and any contributions are welcome, the more original the better. So contact us and be part of the community.

Lastly: In what way would you like to contribute to the River's Source this season, it's 9/11th November at the RDCP. It's an open offer, as it's an open source event. There is a river clean up on the Dart & Tavy on the Sunday, organised by the local Dartmoor paddlers, headed up by Mark Allen. Note that time is running out, as I wish to get the booking's page set by the 1st Sept. We are currently getting together the coaching clinics, youth programme & workshops, and hope to have all online towards the end of September, including online booking.

Nick Horwood of Gene17kayaking, absolute FUNdamentals of white water. Best practise made simply, aimed at near beginners for whitewater, and prefect for aspiring coaches to observe and be challenged. This day clinic will be on the Dart Loop. 4 PLACES LEFT

Russ Smith of Canoe England, National Training offer’s a day of coaching of transferable skills between slalom and river running. This day clinic will be on site at the River Dart Country Park 4 PLACES LEFT

Core Kayaking - Intro to White Water sessions for beginners and those who have been on the river and need some solid coaching to progress quickly.4 PLACES LEFT

Dan Butler of Team Pyranha presents, Outfitting – How it affects your posture, power transfer and performance Good connection to your kayak is essential to give you good posture which in turn will give you the best power transfer and engagement to drive your kayak efficiently. During this free workshop Dan will guide you through boat set up and take you onto the water to see how adjustments affect your performance. This clinic is ideal for paddlers who might want to ‘tune-up’ their outfitting, don’t really know where to start with outfitting or have a specific issues with getting the right fit in their kayak. RiverZoo - Intro to Playboating World Champion James Pringle Bebbington with Katya Kulkova present playboating, an introduction 5 PLACES LEFT

Standing Waves - Enhancing performance for grade 3 paddlers, coaches and leaders. In white water kayaking if you are coaching /leading others or just looking to get the most out of your paddling then this workshop is for you. 3 PLACES LEFT

Tom Parker Coaching - Confidence. It's the foundation upon which performance is built. Yet many struggle to gain or maintain it. If you struggle to gain or maintain your confidence on white water, join Tom Parker on this one day workshop. This practical seminar will look at how you can use a ‘challenge, plan, perform’ model to paddle at your best more often and to enjoy the moment. The one day course will bring elements of personal experience, relevant literature, and research together in plain English to give you a practical guide to the psychology you are likely to encounter as a paddler, coach, or guide on the river.
