As spring approaches, we bring our Sea Kayak Demo Weekends back with an even bigger range of boats than in previous years. Our next scheduled weekend is the 17/18th March.

We offer kayaks from leading manufacturers including P&H, SKUK (formerly NDK), Tiderace, North Shore, Valley, Tahe & Venture Kayaks. We also offer the opportunity to try paddles from Lendal & Mitchell Blades, kayak equipment from Peak UK and VHF radios from Standard Horizon.

The day starts by meeting at our shop on Anglesey at 09:00, we'll discuss your paddling background and experience to help us to offer advice over the weekend and assist in finding the right kayak for you. Day One is intended to provide an opportunity for you to try as many kayaks as you feel the need to and select the one that you felt most comfortable with so you may spend longer in it on the second day.

Day Two will (subject to weather and sea state) consist of a journey and enable you to spend a longer period in a single kayak (or two if we need to swap during the day) and assess its suitability for you during a prolonged paddle.

This is not a formal coaching weekend, but the coach leading the weekend will offer advice and tips over the course of the two days.

The primary aim of this weekend is to enable paddlers to access a variety of kayaks from different manufacturers & in different constructions in a single location and test them 'head to head' in similar conditions, something that we've discovered is difficult to for most paddlers unless they attend a symposium, and enable them to purchase their kayak with confidence that they're buying the 'right' one.

There's no hard sell on the weekend and you are able to redeem the cost of the weekend against any sea kayak purchased from us for a period of 90 days after the weekend. The cost of the weekend is £99

The structure of the weekend is such that we will plan the days to suit the ability of the weakest paddler in the group.

We can recommend locations for accomodation from basic camping through B&B to quality hotels and will send this information with your booking confirmation.
