Slalom club near Weston Super Mare?

Can anyone recommend a good Slalom club near Weston Super Mare? Both myself and my boyfriend are keen whitewater paddlers but are interested in starting Slalom :-)

jemma, although there are one or two members from Bristol Canoe Club who race, you will find the nearest active clubs are Frome, Sutton Bingham (Yeovil) and Cheltenham, and over the bridge Newport although they may be based at CIWW. Contact details of clubs here. I'm the Frome contact.

I am from Portishead, and seriously thinking about getting back into WW and slalom. I used to do it years ago when at Uni and did get to Div 3. Frome seems the nearest club this side of the bridge but its still a way to go.

If you do find anything closer please let me know.
