Pots Rodeo Sat 4th Feb Exeter

The Mighty Pots Rodeo is back.

After a break last year the Exter Uni crew are getting another rodeo and boater cross together.

The main event is most likely to be a boater cross. Long boat and short boat catagories, with other various classes including a womens event. Come on ladies we would love to see more of you paddling.

This is a very fun event which takes place under floodlights with booming tunes to get you hyped up for racing. The course will be challenging but not crazy and although short its suprisingly tough to race your playboats hard for at least 3 mins.

This year all profits are going to theDevon Air Ambulance http://www.daat.org/. A very expensive to run service that can be of great help to paddlers.

This year entry is open to all paddlers over 18 years of age with a solid roll and some experiance of white water. Whilst there is no natural rapids the event does use two large weirs..

To enter visit the event website: http://www.potsrodeo.co.uk or go to the facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/events/156108954486580/
You can enter on the day but it will be a real help to have an idea of numbers coming.

More info here when it comes.

A few updates.

Mill on the Exe will have a great Beer and Burger deal and will not run out of Hot Chocolate this year.

Yak Adventure equipment are bringing a selection of the New TItan Drysuits for competitors to demo. All for free but you might have to have your picture taken.

The after party (BIG, of course its a stoodent event) is at EX4 (downstairs.) This years theme is Pirates v's Ninjas!

Carparking. Please do not park at Mill on the Exe. Over night parking can be found here: http://www.exeter.gov.uk/index.aspx?articleid=1445
Directions from MotE: http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?rls=com.m ... CBsQ_AUoAg

Over night parking from 6pm -8am is free.
Its a short walk back up stream from the car park to Flower Pots. You will see the lights, flags etc and hear the soundsystem thumping away.
Parking is cheap £2.70 for over 4 hours.

Check this out.... http://potsrodeo.co.uk/50off.jpg

This weekend student paddlers have the great opportunity of getting a Big Dog Kayak of the teams choice for half price!

If there ever was a good deal to be had it’s this one! Replace that club playboat, or maybe get a new creeker for that Alps trip this summer. All you have to do is get yourselves to the Pots Rodeo and Boater-EXE this Saturday 4th Feb and paddle like a Looney! Well at least paddle very fast!

Big Dog Demo boats will be available for the event and to race in so you might just win in a Big Dog twice!

T+C’s apply. These will be published at the event.

See you on the water!
