Afternoon!
I'm attempting a return to kayaking, from a previous background in river running and freestyle, but can't seem to find any form of slalom group operating from CIWW. I never got in to slalom during my last foray in to the sport, so I'm not aware of what (if any) kind of structure slalom groups/coaching takes on.
I'd like to give slalom a whirl without buying all the kit straight away, so any information on a group/coach with the relevant equipment (and willingness to let me jump in it) would be very much appreciated! I spent a couple of years at grade IV and V, so the basic river skills should come back pretty quick.
Alternatively, if I'm barking up completely the wrong tree and "beginner" slalom groups don't exist, let me know :)
Chris.

Re: Slalom group in Cardiff
Seren Dwr Canoe Slalom Club train at Cardiff I believe. Thay have only recently been formed but have some youngsters flying up through the ranks already - actually far more of them than Stafford and Stone have had for a while!
Contact details are on http://www.canoewales.com/south-west-wa ... clubs.aspx
Not sure what they offer for adults and what their sessions are like/ when they are held but it is worth a try.
