Paul Owen's Award of Honour might be a tad premature. New criticism of the BCU has emerged over their Olympic canoeing selection process. This time it's not from a "fringe extremist" from amongst amongst "a small proportion of Canoe England members", but rather a multiple world champion and Olympian.

Ivan Lawler has described how

management have allowed a contest of egos and arrogance to take precedence over the real job at hand which is to qualify places for Team GB at the Olympics

and why

It is the end of a long road of wasted money, wasted talent and bad management.
