Hi,
Just wandering if anyone can suggest a suitable roof rack for a Peugeot 307, 2005, 5 door.
I need it to transport a Venture Ranger 14ft so weighing up to around 30kg give or take a few. Due to having to change my car my current rack doesn't fit so need something relatively quickly.
If you don't know the specific roof systems any advice on places to buy from etc?

"Thule" are favourites of many paddlers.

If you do not transport the boat frequently I found the inflatable Handirack roofracks a great alternative. They are not as sturdy as a fixed roofrack but in case of emergency I can transport my boat (12 kilo racing K1 though I have used the Handirack with the Handiholdall foldable roofbox loaded with gear) on any car.

Thule and MontBlanc make most of the car manufacturer's "own brand" racks...
I've known several friends who have had terrble trouble with Cruz roofracks...
I've known several people with cheap halfords racks which have done them fine, though invariably they're not as user friendly as the more expensive ones, which is a PITA if you want to install them only for some journeys...
Regardless of what brand you buy, do occasionally check the bars & fitting kit for metal fatigue, rust etc.; contrary to popular belief, your bars can degrade through use and fail and it's not the bar manufacturers fault when a several year old bar fails.

In reply to all:
Thanks for the replies and advice I have opted to buy a Thule standard square bars, rapid install kit and the additional canoe attachment.
Thanks for the replies and advice, greatly appreciated.
