Hi,
I'm doing the Tweed next week, I'm looking for overall flow/current info.
It always seems 1m+ and flows west-east roughly so prevailing winds should help sailing.
We have done the Spey and Dee and the Dee was great, current all the way. So what's the Tweed like ?
I have the SCA guides etc but anyone done from Peebles to the sea and can give me an idea of flow ?
Thanks
The Tweed ?

Re: The Tweed ?
Well, sitting in the shuttle drivers caravan.
We started 10.15 and ran Fairnilee, then tanked on. We portaged Merton cauld, very steep ramp into deep waves. Then on to past Rutherford lodge. Took out there at 3pm. We decided on tandem y'day due to high winds being forecast.
Tandem was best due to very strong winds. Although much wetter than solo.
We bailed from camping. Only Makerstoun missed. Many fisherman all day. lots of herons and only a few dippers.
Lots of flat sections. Not as good as the Dee or Spey (from Boat of Garten).
