River Trips (canoe)
I’m looking to do several river trips this winter and was wondering if anyone had any must do trips. If they have wild camping, white water (up to grade 3) and the odd lake would good or just chance to sail.

Where would you like us to start? :-)))))
...but then, my choice of 'must do' might not be to your taste so have a look at the river guide on here and maybe some of the blogs on 'Song of the Paddle'...then, go discover for yourselves, it's much more fun!

I agree with the sentiments above. If you have doen very little the Wye has good guides on and is easy paddleable in a open boat. If you want flat and rivers, head towards the lakes, there is lots to do ther and many rivers that you easily get an open boat down splitting journeys up. Happy exploring.

Buy the SCA guides, doing the Big Four - Spey, Tay, Tweed and Dee are in my plan. Only the Tweed whole Tay to do.
Scotland has lots of options for open boaters. There are two circular routes on the Caley canal with grd 2-3 rivers for example.
