Entirely sufficient for my needs. Patch of grass to put up a tent. Designated pitches. Toilets cleaned, showers hot. Total cost for the three nights 27 Euros.

I don't think so.
Greg went with his family
Matt T shared a lift
Peter went with his wife
I went with my wife
Jason and wife from the OCA took their camper
Dan and Charlie were both from SW France and travelled separately
I was pleased to meet Cath from Cerne Canoe Club who I hadn't seen in about 10 years.
Struggling to remember others, sorry.

Cool. I'm thinking about hiring a van and getting five others to share. Probably cheaper and should fit the boats on/in and share the drive.
Anyway, wish I had gone now !

I also wish I had gone,
count me in next year
At less than 3 hours from Chambery airport fly/hire may workout too- or even a week boarding then a week paddling - all too tempting

Just seen this thread. I paddled the Grand Descent on the Sunday with Adrian, and appear in a couple of shots, one of which has him in the background, and if you know where to look we are eating our lunch in the background of another shot.
Seriously though. a brilliantly organised and run event, with a lot of canoeing. Reluctant to go next year for fear it isn't as good!!
