info on new mamba please
Hi , has anyone tried out the new mamba creeker? I'm probably going to get one but am unsure on which size to go for, small 7.6 or the medium 8.1. I'm only 65kgs which puts me right at the lower end for the 8.1, but with 77 gal of vol this seems pritty massive, however if it is more menoveable than the nomad 8.1 I would consider it. the boat would be my main creek boat so would be running 5s regularly. any info would be helpfull. cheers, Callum

Fyi your on the wrong forum, try inland
But you cant rely on other peoples demos, you have to try the boat yourself for the best fit

Re: info on new mamba please
65kg would ordinarily lend to 7.6 Mamba, 8.1 Nomad, Medium Burn, Small Shiva, Diesel 70.
7.6 Mamba will take 65kg easy and the increased rear volume, compared to the original Mamba 7.5, makes it a much improved boat for higher grade paddling. 8.1 Nomad will take 65kg and a bunch of gear. The 8.1 Mamba will take a bigger load than the Nomad, but it paddles differently and importantly for someone of 65kg it is wider infront of the cockpit, so if you are 65kg and are relatively short with narrow shoulders and short arms (5'8" ish and below) then you may struggle to generate maximum forward speed. This makes the 7.6 Mamba and Nomad 8.1 more suited to smaller paddlers. As a general guide of size for Dagger creek boats from small to large: Mamba 7.6, Nomad 8.1, Mamba 8.1, Nomad 8.5, Mamba 8.6. 65kg is below medium.
As mentioned above, advice from others is just a guide and you need to try the boats to see for yourself whether the boat suits your style and needs. :-)
What height are you?
What boat do you currently paddle? What do you like/dislike about it?
