Manse Falls

Pics from Douglas Rae. 'These Pics were taken around Christmas 2004 while the Ettrick was on a Severe Flood Warning and a day before an even larger section of Murry Cauld (Ettrick Weir) broke away. I live in the area and don't think I've ever seen the river as high as that before (with the exception of the day after, that is!). The Manse falls is normally a nice 3+ with an easy to reach the eddy at the top and bottom, however at very high/spate flows, a large stopper appears where the falls were and the once tame lead in goes up to G4.
